Education and Empowerment

One of our key focus areas is education and empowerment. We believe that education is the foundation for personal growth and social development. Through our programs, we provide access to quality education, scholarships, vocational training, and mentorship opportunities to underprivileged children and youth.

Advocacy and Policy Change

Our mission is to build knowledge and awareness within these communities, empowering them to support and uplift their most vulnerable members. Through our various initiatives and programs, we strive to create a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of those who are often overlooked.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide social services and support to the rural needy, focusing on education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and community development. We aim to empower individuals and communities by equipping them with knowledge.

What We Do
Through our various programs and initiatives, we address the unique needs of rural communities. Our focus areas include:
1. Education
We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We work towards improving access to quality education in rural areas by establishing schools, providing scholarships, and conducting educational workshops. By empowering individuals with knowledge and skills, we enable them to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
2. Healthcare
Access to healthcare is often limited in rural areas. We strive to bridge this gap by organizing medical camps, providing healthcare facilities, and raising awareness about preventive healthcare practices. We aim to ensure that every individual has access to basic healthcare services, regardless of their geographical location.
3. Livelihood Opportunities
We believe in empowering individuals to become self-sufficient. Through skill development programs, vocational training, and microfinance initiatives, we help create livelihood opportunities in rural areas. By supporting entrepreneurship and promoting sustainable farming practices, we aim to improve the economic conditions of rural communities.
4. Community Development
Strong and resilient communities are the foundation of a thriving society. We facilitate community development by promoting social cohesion, fostering leadership, and encouraging active participation. Through initiatives such as infrastructure development, women's empowerment, and environmental sustainability, we aim to create a holistic and inclusive environment for rural communities.

Projects Running by IRS, NGO (Own Funding):
1. IRS Digital Literacy Center (IDLC) Certificate Courses: ACC-Awareness in Computer Concepts, CBCC-Basic Computer Course, CCC-Course on Computer Concepts, CCC plus – Course on Computer Concepts Plus, ECC – Expert Computer. Course Valid Until 31/03/2021
2. IRS Integrated Culture Promotional Programme (IICPP): Culture is our Life and it Identifies for every Society! The objective of the Project: To be promoted for all types of interactive fora such as conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia, festivals and exhibitions, production on any subject important to the preservation or promotion of cultural heritage, arts, letters, and other creative endeavors. Valid Until: Every year from November to April
3. IRS-Handloom Textile Promotion & Manufacturing (IHPM): An earning step for rural tribes under IHPM. Objective of Project: To Rural household sources of income, livelihood strategies, and institutional constraints in the Textile industry of weaving traditional to modern technology integration process. The mission of the Project: to earn a minimum of Rs.300/ per day for every weaver, every BPL family. Valid Until: Regular rural earning source supporting programme
4. IRS Computerised Embroidery Training Center (ICTC): Learn and earn as self-employed/entrepreneurs. Objective of Project: To learn to earn basic for rural backward classes women as part of women empowerment support activities. 15 days to 3 months training duration Training Provides. Free learn Computer Basic Knowledge, Free learn Entrepreneurship Basic Knowledge, Free learn Entrepreneurship Marketing, Valid Until All time

Main target group: The organization has targeted more than 2000 (15 members per group X 134 no. groups) SHGs per year and individual 1500 per year in the rural areas within backward classes, for example – S.T., S.C., and O.B.C. Communities.
Present Running Geographical Area of Activities: - Biswanath, Sonitpur, Kamrup (Rural) Lahkimpur, Dhemaji, Majuli District, Sivasagar, Assam
